Pair of Paris porcelain vases, circa 1830, decorated with scattered red and yellow flowers, green foliage and yellow bands outlined in black. Height: 20 cm each. Combined weight: 1,875 g. Unidentified blue mark beneath one vase. Sold together as a pair.

Description

This pair of Paris porcelain vases, to French production circa 1830, features scattered floral sprigs on a white glazed ground.

Each vase has a rounded ovoid body, tapering towards the base, with a short neck. Small red flowers with yellow centres and green foliage are spaced across the surface. The arrangement gives the floral decoration a light, uncluttered appearance and allows the white porcelain to remain a prominent part of the design.

A broad yellow band encircles each shoulder, bordered by fine black lines. These contrasting bands frame the upper part of the vases and complement the warm colours of the flowers. The combination of simple shapes and colourful decoration makes the pair suitable for display on a mantelpiece, console or cabinet.

An unidentified blue mark is visible beneath one vase. No specific manufacturer is assigned to this mark.

The two vases are offered together as a decorative pair, appealing to collectors of antique French porcelain and floral ceramics.
