Buti Italy 1984 Via Castel Tonini Original Drypoint Signed Viviano Viviani

Description

Buti Italy drypoint by Viviano Viviani depicting Via Castel Tonini in the historic Tuscan village. The composition is dated 1984 and the impression is signed and numbered in pencil beneath the image.

This architectural view captures the character of Buti in the province of Pisa. A paved street leads between old façades and steps towards the crenellated silhouette of the castle. A small fountain in the foreground and trees beside the buildings add distinctive details to the scene.

Printed in a warm brown tone, the composition combines fine architectural lines with deeper shadows along the walls and beneath the roofs. The upright image and generous margins give the print an elegant presentation.

The work was engraved in drypoint on copper and printed by hand on handmade rag paper from Cartiera Magnani in Pescia. The stated edition comprised 50 numbered sets and a further 10 sets outside the commercial edition. This impression bears the artist’s pencil signature and edition numbering.
